Kiama Unity Walk in the Park

Date: Sunday 25 August 2019

Time: 11am – 2pm

Location: Black Beach

Distance: 2km return

Cost: $10-$15

Event Details:

Come join the Kiama Parkinson’s NSW Support Group and the local community for a stroll around Black Beach and Kiama Harbour. The walking route is flat and suitable for wheelchair users and prams. Meet at the” School Flat” opposite Penny Whistler Café and stick around for a sausage sizzle hosted by the Rotary Club of Kiama.

Parking available at the starting location. Toilets and water bubblers located at the venue. Participation packs, pre-purchased t-shirts and free t-shirts can be collected on the day. 

What to bring:
Sensible walking shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather on the day, a hat and sunscreen, water, all your family & friends!

 

Coffs Harbour Unity Walk in the Park 

Date: Sunday 25 August 2019

Time: 10am for 10:30am start – 4pm

Location: Jetty Beach (south end near boat ramp) to Park Beach Bowling Club

Distance: 4km

Cost: $10-$15

On the day – cash only

Event Details: 

Come join the Coffs Harbour Parkinson’s NSW Support Groups and the local community for a 4km stroll along our beautiful coastline. Starting at the south end of Jetty Beach (near the boat ramp) you can follow the beaches or adjoining foot path to the Park Beach Bowling Club. Stick around after the walk and join us for lunch at the Bowlo.

Participation packs, pre-purchased t-shirts and free t-shirts can be collected on the day. 

Please note: Dogs are not allowed on one of the beaches of the walking route. 

What to bring:
Sensible walking shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather on the day, a hat and sunscreen, water, all your family & friends!

 

Nowra Unity Walk in the Park

Date: Sunday 25 August 2019

Time: 9:30am for 10am start till 1pm

Location: Moorehouse Park, Nowra

Distance: 2km return

Cost: $10-$15

On the day – cash only

Event Details:

Come join the Shoalhaven Shakers Support Group and the local community for a 2km stroll through Nowra. Starting and finishing at Moorehouse Park we will walk along a paved track that suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walking frames. Sick around after the walk and join us for lunch at the Dish & Spoon Café.

Participation packs, pre-purchased t-shirts and free t-shirts can be collected on the day.

Lismore Unity Walk in the Park

Date: Sunday 25 August 2019

Time: 10am for 10:30am start till 12:30pm

Location: Nesbitt Park, Casino Street, Lismore

Distance: 1km loop

Cost: $10-$15

Event Details: 

Come join the Lismore Support Group and the local community for stroll in Nesbitt Park. The walking track is a 1km circuit so you choose how many laps you want to do. Bring you picnic lunch, chairs and blanket to enjoy a relaxed lunch with great company after the walk.

The starting location is at the car park closet to the toilet area off Casino Street. The walking path is clearly marked and level. 

Participation packs, pre-purchased t-shirts and free t-shirts will be mailed out before the day. 

What to bring: 
Picnic lunch, chairs and blanket, sensible walking shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather on the day, a hat and sunscreen, water, all your family & friends!

 

Bathurst Unity Walk in the Park 

Date: Thursday 29 August 2019

Time: 11am till 11:30pm

Location:  Kings Parade, Bathurst

Distance: 400m loop

Cost: $10-$15

Registrations:

On the day – cash only

Event Details: 

Come join the Bathurst Support Group and the local community for stroll around Kings Parade. (starting point opposite Annies) The walking track is a 400m circuit of the park so you choose how many laps you want to do. After the walk join the group as they head out for a mingle, coffee and bite to eat.

Participation packs, pre-purchased t-shirts and free t-shirts can be collected on the day.
