Hutt St Centre’s annual fundraising event, Walk a Mile in My Boots, provides South Australians the opportunity to show their support for people experiencing homelessness. Join us during National Homelessness Week to show that homelessness is an important issue to you, and that no person should feel like they are walking alone.

When you walk with us, you become one of the many voices that say no one in our community should be without a safe, secure home.

When you fundraise, you ensure people experiencing homelessness can access vital services that allow them to rebuild their lives.

How much is registration?

  • Adult Early Bird (before 1 July) $20.00
  • Adult Standard Registration (1 July - 10 August) $30.00
  • Concession / Student: $10.00
  • Child (5 - 12): $5
  • Children under 5: FREE

What does my registration fee cover?

Registration covers the cost of running Walk a Mile in My Boots. Fundraising undertaken in the lead up to the event helps people experiencing homelessness access essential services through Hutt St Centre. Can I register for other people?

Yes! You can register and pay for friends, family or work colleagues. However, please be aware you do not need to register together in order to walk or fundraise together. You can meet up on the day, or join fundraising forces at any time! 

Corporate / Community Group Registration info:

For groups of five or more adults who wish to register and pay together, a Corporate or Community Group ticket type is available. Please note there is no split payments for this ticket type.

When completing a group registration, please be prepared with all participants’ full names, email addresses, and D.O.B’s (legal requirement) as the form will time out after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Please note only adult registrations can be included in a group ticket type. If you wish to register and pay for multiple people who require different ticket types, please use an individual registration, and ‘register another person’ button before finalising payment. 

Is my registration tax deductable? 

No, it is not. A registration is like purchasing a ticket to an event, rather than a donation to Hutt St Centre. 

Do I need to bring proof of registration on the day?

No, you do not. We will have all names recorded. 

Can I register on the day?

Yes, you can. If you wish to register on the day you will need to arrive early to allow enough time complete your registration before the walk begins. Cash and eftpos facilities will be available.

However, registering early allows us to better plan for catering on the day, and give you the opportunity to fundraise for Hutt St Centre, which will directly help people in our community experiencing homelessness.
