A WALK IN THE PARK QLD

A Walk in the Park is a community fundraising and awareness event for people living with Parkinson’s disease in Queensland. The walk is an inclusive event, welcoming people of all ages & physical abilities to partcipate. This year, the Brisbane walk will be held at Albert Bishop Park in Nundah, on Sunday 10th September, 2017. We invite you to join us and walk, run or cycle (our newest activity to the event) to raise funds for Parkinson's Queensland to continue it's important work.

walk runcycle Get moving for people with Parkinson's - and do it your way! This year, choose from 2km, 5km or 10km walk or run, or participate in our friendly cycling competition!

Funds raised by A Walk in the Park helps to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s by providing ongoing support, information and education. Your fundraising dollar will also advance research to search for a cure. Together, we can achieve our vision for a world without Parkinson’s.

All participants receive a participation & dedication 'bib' to commemorate their reason for participating, along with a special gift. It is your personal keepsake to remind you of this special event. Participants who fundraise $50 or more for Parkinson's Queensland will also receive a commemorative A Walk in the Park t-shirt.

We are always on the lookout for extra hands and new and returning volunteers are always welcome. Fill out the registration form and select "I would like to volunteer" at the end of the form, and we will contact you to discuss the options available with you.
