Make a difference this year by donating your birthday to kids in need! This birthday, instead of asking for gifts, ask your friends and family to donate to your campaign making life better for children around the world.

Donating your birthday is a meaningful way to make a positive impact that directly affects the wellbeing of children that need it most. Funds raised will go towards enriching the lives of children through UNICEF Australia’s international programs, as well as providing critical emergency relief and aid in times of disaster.

How to Donate Your Birthday

It’s easy! There’s three simple steps to make a real, meaningful impact on kids’ lives.

1. Make an Everyday Hero page

You can start by clicking the Start Fundraising button to make your own Everyday Hero page. It’s quick and easy!

2. Start your birthday campaign

Get your friends and family to donate to your online campaign for your birthday. You’ll receive your unique campaign link to share on social media, and also a filter to apply to your Facebook profile picture to let people know that this birthday you’re raising funds for children in need.

3. See the difference you’re making

Track your donations on your Everyday Hero page to see how much you’ve raised. UNICEF will have a leaderboard for our biggest fundraisers on our campaign, so keep an eye out for your face on our page!

UNICEF Australia

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to help children survive and thrive, from early childhood through adolescence. The world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, basic education for all boys and girls and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. In Australia, UNICEF works with government and advocate bodies to defend children’s rights and support international development programs. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.

Your donation can help children and families with the following;

$20 can provide 500 pencils to nurture learning and a prosperous future

$51 can provide 200 Polio vaccines to provide lifetime protection so children can grow-up polio free

$74 can provide 125 therapeutic food sachets to get a malnourished child back to health fast.
