The Butterfly Effect - It’s All About Support!

Fundraising for the Butterfly Foundation is all about coming together as a community to:

  1. raise awareness about the seriousness of eating disorders & the lack of support services available
  2. raise funds to help us continue to provide support across Australia

Join forces with friends, family and your community to destigmatise the illness, encourage help seeking and raise money so that Butterfly can continue to provide treatment and recovery resources to all those affected.

This is the Butterfly Effect!

Organising a community, individual, school or corporate fundraising event can help change the life of someone experiencing eating disorders and negative body image.

Want to fundraise for Butterfly? Simply register your fundraising event with Butterfly by completing our Expression of Interest online and create an Everyday Hero fundraising supporter page here.  You can ask people to donate to you directly or recruit a team of friends, colleagues and family to combine your efforts.

Set your own target and help Butterfly increase the level of support we can offer the community!

In addition to sharing your page via social media, send an email to all your contacts to encourage their support. When you reach out for support from your networks, it creates a Butterfly Effect in improved services for people with eating disorders.

For eating disorders, the need is great and the demand for our services is high and growing daily, however Butterfly is working passionately to turn this situation around and change the conversation!

We know that Butterfly's community based support programs are key to providing help and saving lives. We have reached 1,000’s of people through our Support Services, however we don’t dare stop here. There are so many more people within our communities that need access to the services that we offer.

Your valued support helps us:

  • increase the number of support group we can provide
  • increase the number of face to face counselling session we can offer
  • increase the number of recovery workshops available

As our support services are in such high demand and limited, we encourage you to join the Butterfly Effect NOW to raise funds to support those in need!

Please join us in being Butterfly effective today. YOU are the Butterfly Effect!

Thank you in advance for your valued support.

As well as being a leading national voice in supporting those impacted by eating disorders, Butterfly highlights the realities of seeking treatment for recovery, and advocates for improved services from both government and independent sources.

Butterfly is dedicated to changing the culture, policy and practice in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and to raising awareness of eating disorders as a serious social, medical and mental health issue.
