Over the course of one year, Mick Marshall will attempt a Guinness Book of World Record for Most Desert Races Ran in One Year.

Mick will be taking on 8 grueling ultra-marathons scattered across the globe. With distances ranging between 100km and 520km, Mick will face the hottest, windiest, and driest conditions imaginable as he aims to complete his world record attempt.

With the belief that everyone is capable of making positive change, Mick has chosen to raise funds for an organisation close to his heart - Berry Street - which helps to create positive change in the lives of Victorian children and familes affected by trauma, abuse and neglect.

Since 1877, Berry Street has chosen to work with children, young people and families, with the most challenging and complex needs, including those for whom they are often the last resort. Berry Street is the largest independent child welfare organisation in Victoria, and last year, helped over 18,000 of the most disadvantaged children, young people and families across our community.

Berry Street believes all children should have good a childhood, growing up feeling safe, nurtured and with hope for the future. Berry Street never gives up on children and young people who have suffered great distress and significant harm. Many of these children have grown up in families where violence, chronic neglect, substance abuse, mental illness and poverty have prevented them from having a good childhood.

You can support Mick's incredible journey and help him to raise much-needed funds for Berry Street by making a donation here: https://run4change.everydayhero.com/au/run4change

Berry Street never gives up doing whatever it takes for the kids in our care because we believe that all children should have a good childhood, growing up feeling safe, nurtured and with hope for the future.
For over 140 years we have been giving these kids a chance. We need your help to continue.
